Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock was the 4th installment in the Guitar Hero Franchise. Guitar Hero III was released late 2007 for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2, PC and Mac platforms. Due to the acquisition of RedOctane by Activision, Harmonix Music Systems is no longer involved in developing titles in the Guitar Hero series; instead, they developed the competing Rock Band.

The following cheat codes can be used in Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock on the PlayStation 3 video game console.
A special note on Guitar Hero 3 cheats.
The codes below look a bit odd when compared to your usual PS3 cheats. These codes represent the colors on the guitar.
B = Blue
Y = Yellow
G = Green
R = Red
O = Orange
When two colors are listed together (like ‘BY’ for blue and yellow) then both colors must be strummed at the same time.
Also, pay special attention to the timing when entering these codes, it may take a bit of practice to get it right.
The following Guitar Hero 3 cheats are entered within the Options > Cheats menu of the game.
